Profile

Alan’s background includes an Engineering Drafting Cadetship with the then NZED, primarily associated with drafting, design, contract and project management at the Huntly and Ohaaki Power Projects. Alan accepted a role with an Auckland based company in 1989 associated with a wastewater treatment project in Rotorua before returning to his native Wellington in 1991 to join Rob Law Maxrecruitment formerly Rob Law Consulting Group as a Recruitment Consultant.

Alan has developed quickly within the company from Recruiter to Personnel Division Manager and then General Manager in 1995. His specialist skills are multi-disciplined assignments primarily associated with the industrial/utility/infrastructure environment and relationship management.

Alan completed a Certificate of HR Consulting in 2001 and a professional Diploma in HR Consulting in 2003 through Monash University and was recognised as RCSA's 2004 Australasian 'Student of the Year'.

Outside Work

Alan enjoys sport, especially cricket and rugby. He is actively involved with college cricket and has played local cricket for many years.  He also enjoys spending time with his family, house renovations, travel and good wine.
