Profile

John grew up in Manchester in the North of England and, once qualified, worked on radar systems and atomic power stations before becoming involved with software development.

Since moving to New Zealand John has established a career in recruitment.  During his career in recruiting, John has also undertaken a number of international assignments, both by using overseas associates and by travelling offshore to interview candidates personally. Since joining Rob Law Consulting Group in 2002, John has been able to expand and utilise his experience and expertise in technical recruitment.

John is a past Chairman of the Wellington Branch of the National Association of Personnel Consultancies (NAPC, now the RCSA).

Outside Work

John has a strong interest in soccer and apart from supporting Manchester City from afar, has been heavily involved in soccer coaching and is a past winner of the Toastmasters’ National Humorous Speech Contest. He has also had articles published on various subjects.
