Our Shared Risk Agreement
Recruiting with RLM is a partnership exercise in which both parties need to take responsibility to ensure a successful long-term placement. Because there are no guarantees in dealing with people, RLM will continue to Share the Responsibility for an agreed period after employment commences.
Client Responsibility
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that employees provided by RLM are given a full and thorough induction into the company and the position and have signed an employment agreement (as per New Zealand Employment Relation Law), which includes a detailed job description.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that employees provided by RLM are provided with the necessary ongoing support, materials and evaluative feedback to enable them to carry out their duties satisfactorily.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the position, working conditions and environment are accurately represented to the candidate provided by RLM prior to any offer of employment being made, and to ensure these expectations are fulfilled once employment commences.
RLM Responsibility
Should any employee placed by RLM resign or be dismissed within 12 weeks of commencing employment, RLM will provide a replacement candidate free of charge, provided all the conditions of this agreement have been met.
Conditions
Should a replacement candidate be required, RLM must be given the first option of providing a replacement person for that position. If the position no longer exists or if a suitable replacement cannot be found within an agreed time frame (minimum of 6 weeks), the client may elect to take a credit note for the full amount of the original fee valid for up to 12 months. RLM must be notified within 24 hours of the resignation of an employee, who is still covered by the Shared Responsibility Agreement. If RLM is not notified within 24 hours or is not given 6 weeks to replace the employee, the agreement does not apply.
RLM will not be held responsible should the employee (provided by RLM) or the client choose to terminate the employment for any of the following reasons: company closure or restructure; change of management or job description; personality clash or false representation of the salary and/or the position. The Shared Responsibility Agreement is nullified if The Fee is not paid in accordance with RLM Terms of Payment. All replacements are to be carried out on an Exclusive Agency basis. Replacement candidates are not covered by the Shared Responsibility Agreement.
