To continue the development and implementation of Health, Safety and Security initiatives we require an accomplished Health and Safety professional to join our senior leadership team.

The prime focus of the role is to provide leadership to HNZC in the ongoing development and management of sustainable health & safety, staff wellbeing and environmental initiatives throughout the corporation. The position is also responsible for ensuring HNZC meets its legal obligations with respect to health and safety an ensuring a continuous improvement approach is maintained.

You will be responsible for:

• Working in Partnership across HNZC to develop effective relationships and deliver an annual Health, Safety and Security strategy.
• Providing expert health, safety and security advice and leadership to HNZC management and staff.
• Ensuring HNZC complies with its obligations under relevant HSE legislation.
• Ensuring HNZC’s health, safety and security performance is measured and reported.

To be successful in the role you will ideally have:

• A tertiary qualification in a Health and Safety discipline and significant experience gained in leading health, safety and risk initiatives in complex environments.
• A proven track record in health safety and risk management at an executive level.
• Demonstrated competence in developing and implementing health safety and risk strategies, plans and policies.
• Strong analytical/research skills including the ability to analyse and interpret statistical and performance related data.
• Well developed leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibility, passion, enthusiasm, motivation and a desire to succeed in a team and quality culture.
