Network Asset and Planning Manager Job

The Wellington Electricity Network company requires an Asset and Planning Manager to oversee a range of activities that ensure the integrity and reliability of the network for today and the future. The role will involve strategic planning, staff/team management, budget management, stakeholder relationship management and technical management on the full range of aspects that contribute to the existing and future functionality of the distribution network.

Ideally you will have an appropriate tertiary qualification, CPEng or equivalent and a strong track record in Electrical Distribution Networks, strong leadership, communication and relationship skills and be able to demonstrate capabilities associated with:

• Planning and development of the Electrical Network, associated design standards and provide high level Engineering Advice.
• Undertake and develop long term strategic loadflow analysis and forecasting of the Electricity Network.
• Developing and managing comprehensive Asset management strategies that optimise network performance (quality and reliability of supply)
• Managing the development of the network capital works program.
• Providing effective team leadership, direction and developing group capabilities.

Most of all you will need good analytical / problem solving skills, a can do attitude and an ability to work well with others and deliver results.
