IPENZ is now looking for a Senior Engineering Professional to join their team out of their Wellington office to assume the position of Engineering Practice Manager.
The Engineering Practice Manager leads the development and promotion of good engineering practice and facilitates high quality advice for the industry. Key accountabilities include:
- Facilitating and co-ordinating the views of the engineering profession on practice issues, promote best practice processes and develop enduring relationships across technical interest groups and other interested parties.
- Provide a portfolio of practice documentation, advice and support to members
- Provide advice and support to the Engineering Practice Advisory Committee
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a passion for the industry to join a leading organization with a reputation for delivering reliable and valued services nationwide. The incumbent is planning to move to a part-time role within National Office. To be successful in the role you will have:
- A proactive can do attitude and willingness to get out and engage with key stake holders within the engineering profession at all levels.
- A prior background or exposure to the local government/end client side will be beneficial and your knowledge of regulatory processes would be seen as an advantage.
- A tertiary qualification in engineering is necessary with CPEng being preferred.
- Well developed communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Strong analytical, decision making and facilitation capabilities
