Our client brings with them a wealth of project experience covering all sectors of the engineering and construction industry and have developed a wide portfolio throughout the public and private sectors. Due to recent project success, they are now seeking the services of an Assistant Project Manager with a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience with project management or engineering / construction, ideally in the NZ environment.
Candidates with previous transportation infrastructure experience are invited to apply immediately. The ideal candidate will already be working in a professional PM consultancy, engineering consultancy with experience across design, construction monitoring & report writing / project co-ordination.
This position requires the individual to have:
Minimum of 1-2 years in a engineering / project management environment
Excellent client liaison skills.
Have a BEng, BCon Mngt or equivalent
Business and project development experience with excellent client facing and communication skills
A background in feasibility studies, design management, risk assessment and construction management
Experience working on various construction projects such as transportation, commercial and leisure facilities or civil infrastructure
The ability to write clear project reports
The positions responsibilities include:
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Construction management Contract management
This role will ideally suit an emerging Project Manager or Civil Engineer, looking to expand their career and move into full project life cycle involvement from planning & consenting to design review and project management. It would also ideally suit a civil engineer, stuck inside one of the big engineering consultancies but wanting more freedom to interact with clients and site based works.
