Our client is at the forefront of CNC Technology within the NZ Engineering sector, they provide integrated fabrication and manufacturing solutions to both domestic and international markets. They are an automated engineering solution provider whom cover every aspect of the engineering and construction sectors. There approach to their clients business is collaborative

In addition to all of this, they are an employer of choice whom many within the engineering sector recognise as a leader for the sector and its people.

Experiencing year on year growth, they are looking to add a seasoned and passionate Business Development Manager to their sales team. You might be an existing Technical Sales Representative, Business development Manager or Sales Engineer within manufacturing or engineering design.

We are looking for a strong business development manager to continue to forward momentum our client is experiencing with both new and existing business. This is a rare to market opportunity and we are searching for a rare to market candidate. You will be a hunter, a farmer and a technical expert.

You will as fore mentioned come from within the sector with preferably a strong relationship to Sheet metal, CNC & Fabrication.

This role has a national reach, however the initial focus will be on the Auckland market.

Responsibilities:

This role encompasses all that a traditional Business Development Managers / Technical Sales role does - You ultimately are responsible for the acquisition and growth of both new and existing business in a technical space. As well as specification within the construction industry.

This role will only suit someone from within the engineering / manufacturing sectors. We are wanting to talk to Technical Sales Reps, Business Development Managers, Sales Engineers and Account Managers from across the sector. Is this sounding ominous and interesting?

The successful candidate:

  • Preferably you will have an engineering qualification, be a degree or trade that has lead you to a commercial role

  • 5 + years Sales Experience within a technical environment – Engineering, Manufacturing or Engineering Construction

  • A proven ability to plan, develop and execute business development strategies

  • The ability to create proposals by harnessing knowledge and support from internal team

  • A strong technical aptitude is a must, design or practical engineering / fabrication experience is a bonus

  • A thirst for learning and will put effort in to grow their product understanding

  • Track record of achieving sales targets and high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Well networked in the New Zealand B2Bsector and you are an expert at opening doors to win new clients

  • A great sense of humour, energy and can do attitude
