Our client is driving the development of Tauranga’s transport infrastructure. Tauranga has seen incredible amount of local population growth which is not looking to slow down any time soon. This has prompted a large push for the development of critical infrastructure, with a massively increased budget to support that.

About the role:

This role is sitting within a highly experienced team driving the development of Tauranga’s transport infrastructure – from inception right through to completion.

We are looking for a senior transport engineer to manage the design of Tauranga’s capital cycleways projects with a focus on safety, effectiveness, and efficiency. You will be responsible for the planning and implementation of a world-class, multi-modal cycle network, working alongside a variety of key stakeholders as well as the local community.

Successful applicants will have:

  • Significant experience as a transport / traffic engineer or similar

  • A track record of complex, large-scale project delivery

  • Collaborative working style with a diverse skilled team

  • Strong technical background with experience in safety and design of cycleways

  • Current working knowledge of Industry standards, specifications, and recognised design methodologies

  • Experience across transport planning and engineering including analysis, investigation planning and delivery

  • Enthusiastic and proactive attitude with the ability to work in a team environment
