RobLawMax is currently seeking the skills of a Construction Manager for a major, complex infrastructure project in central Queensland. You will join a well-regarded mid-tier civil construction contractor and lead a team of Area Managers and Superintendents in the delivery of a complex $300m+ project.
Your background you will preferably hold strength in the delivery of Civil Structures projects, while exposure to bulk earthworks will also be beneficial. By preference you will also possess experience within both tier 1 and 2 environments, combined with exposure to the stakeholder complexities that exist within JV and / or Alliance contracts.
Directly oversee construction activities on the project including the co-ordination of construction team, subcontractors, procurement, plant and equipment
Manage the programming, construction methodologies and financial performance of the project
Accountable for compliance with legislation, regulations and standards while ensuring plant, equipment, staff and subcontractors operate within safe working conditions
Produce and present performance reports to Executive team
Skills & Experience required:
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
15+ years’ experience within civil construction contracting with managerial experience on civil infrastructure projects of $200m+
Commercial acumen with highly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating and administering contracts
Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, JV partners, subcontractors and suppliers
Ability to lead, motivate and influence high performance
Highly effective planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
