This premier national building company has a unique opportunity to join them on a fixed term contract for 6 months. The role is to train, motivate, mentor and develop their team of BCITO apprentices and other site staff across their sites in Auckland and Hamilton. The position is available as either part or full time, it pays a pro-rata salary of $95-115k. A pool car is available for work travel only, or using your own car will mean your expenses are reimbursed.
This role would suit perfectly an experienced Site or Project Manager looking for something a little bit different, perhaps someone semi-retired or someone still running their own company with spare time to take on side project, whilst still contributing to the successful delivery multimillion dollar projects and the future of the NZ building sector.
The role has functional relationships with all site staff, senior leadership, BCITO and other construction education providers. Weekly reporting, analysis of training needs and presenting to staff on site are also key parts of the position.
Essential skills and experience:
A carpentry background
Strong IT skills (must be proficient with Microsoft software)
Experience of working on large scale residential or commercial projects in NZ
Diplomacy, tact and strong communication abilities
