About the role:

As an integral part of the commercial team, this position is responsible for the management of construction contracts for a major transport infrastructure project worth over $600M. This will be a face-paced job with plenty of responsibility and handling packages of significant value.

This is a great opportunity for a contracts administrator or project coordinator to join the team delivering one of New Zealand’s biggest current projects.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare, issue, review, and award packages of work (with input from the engineering & construction teams)

  • Assist in the resolution of contractual claims and disputes; minimise opportunities for variations

  • Undertake contract progress reviews and identify gaps, delays, and quality issues

  • Ensure compliance with conditions outlined in the Project Alliance Agreement

  • Prepare regular valuation schedules and cost forecasts for reporting

  • Process subcontractor payment claims and accounts

Successful applicants will have:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Contracts Administrator or similar

  • Preferably experience on civil infrastructure projects, ideally transport

  • The ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills

  • An advanced level of competence with MS Office – especially Excel

  • High accuracy and attention to detail

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
