About the role:
As an integral part of the commercial team, this position is responsible for the management of construction contracts for a major transport infrastructure project worth over $600M. This will be a face-paced job with plenty of responsibility and handling packages of significant value.
This is a great opportunity for a contracts administrator or project coordinator to join the team delivering one of New Zealand’s biggest current projects.
Responsibilities will include:
Prepare, issue, review, and award packages of work (with input from the engineering & construction teams)
Assist in the resolution of contractual claims and disputes; minimise opportunities for variations
Undertake contract progress reviews and identify gaps, delays, and quality issues
Ensure compliance with conditions outlined in the Project Alliance Agreement
Prepare regular valuation schedules and cost forecasts for reporting
Process subcontractor payment claims and accounts
Successful applicants will have:
Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Contracts Administrator or similar
Preferably experience on civil infrastructure projects, ideally transport
The ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent communication and relationship management skills
An advanced level of competence with MS Office – especially Excel
High accuracy and attention to detail
A relevant tertiary qualification
