Our client is a well regarded rigging, scaffolding and engineering business - based in Hamilton they have an international reach. Providing a range of productions and solutions across Australasia, Asia and right here at home, from Kaitaia to the bluff.
They are recognised as specialist contracting company providing engineered solutions for the most difficult of projects in particular heavy industry maintenance, and construction shut work at major installations such as power stations, refineries and pulp and paper plants.
Primary started as a rigging company providing specialist lift and shift operations, they now also offer a range of services from industrial rope access, to industrial / commercial scaffolding, wind turbine erection, steel erection, hire equipment, salvage / discretion and heavy transportation.
Experiencing significant and sustained growth they are on the hunt for a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead the engineering workshop into the next phase. The workshop is equipped for a full suite of engineering & fabrication work along with including onsite services, installation and planned maintenance.
Responsible for all engineering services, this exceptional engineering leader will also manage engineering projects whilst working in with other members of the leadership team to deliver efficient, cost effective and comprehensive solutions. This is an integral hire for the business and we are searching for a candidate who has the technical aptitude, the ability to build long term relationships internally / externally and the ability to work at a commercial level building continued revenue and growth.
To be successful you will have:
The relevant trade / mechanical / engineering qualifications
Experience in Construction and / or Heavy Maintenance industries
Excellent practical & proven understanding of welding processes and equipment
Proven leadership experience with high level communication skills
Ability to read technical drawings, price work and assist with tender
An excellent sense of humour!
