Highly rated Wellington Main Contractor now seeking to hire an experienced Estimator to join their senior management team, bring your construction knowledge and financial skills to this key role securing high value commercial construction projects.
The position of Estimator is arguably the most important role within a Main Contractor, are you able to handle the responsibility of accurately pricing projects? In this role your duties and responsibilities will include:
Producing accurate measures
Managing interaction with Subcontractors to gain accurate, current pricing
Influencing Subcontractors to ensure best pricing
Identifying and mitigating risk
Delivering work on time to meet tender deadlines
Ability to work on concurrent tenders
In this position you will work closely with the Regional Manager, Project Managers and members of the commercial team, you will develop relationships with other Estimators working in regional offices.
Key skills and expertise required:
Tertiary level qualification in Quantity Surveying
Relevant career history in New Zealand construction sector
Main Contractor or Professional Quantity Surveyor expertise
Proven ability in estimating projects in excess of $30M
Highly numerate and literate
