Roblawmax are currently searching for talent to fill an exciting opportunity as a Health, Safety and Environment Advisor on this major mine earthworks project. The HSE Advisor will work closely with the Project Manager, Engineers and Supervisors to ensure that all risk and HSE compliance issues on site are considered appropriately. You will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and compliance of the Safety Management System in line with client expectations. This will include site access, training support and inductions. You will support daily pre-starts, risk management, change management, incident investigations and HSE auditing as well as assist with supervision of all construction activities.The position will be on 3:1 FIFO roster ex Brisbane or Sydney.
As a HSE Advisor you will:
Responsible for contractor onboarding, site access training support and inductions.
Ensure project personnel have the necessary competencies and complete the necessary documentation for equipment utilised on-site.
Be responsible for having training and induction records on-site up to date.
Manage on-site incident investigations.
Provide injury management/rehabilitation (suitable duties) services.
Deliver workplace safety training such as awareness and site work health and safety training.
Ideally, you will have experience leading, investigating, developing, and implementing within civil construction covering earthworks and mining infrastructure.
To be considered you will ideally possess:
Previous knowledge or working in construction or civil construction, experience working in a Mining Environment advantageous.
Certificate IV in WHS and Training & Assessment qualifications
A consultative approach with the ability to be direct at the appropriate times.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with internal staff, subbies and client representatives.
Excellent legislative knowledge.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
