About the Role

This is a night shift role (6.30pm - 6.30am) based at their manufacturing site at Otahuhu. You will responsible to ensure high quality, reliability centred mechanical engineering services are provided to plant and equipment in a timely manner during the night shift. You are expected to proactively participate in machine reliability improvement projects, support production and site activities to improve machine reliability and optimise productivity and minimise downtime of the plant.


  • Prioritise and carry out necessary repair/maintenance to enable production to recommence quickly

  • Check and record breakdowns and possible improvements

  • Plan and schedule shutdown of equipment for modifications or overhauls

  • Exhibit Safety rules and behaviours

  • Maintain the engineering workshop and equipment's in a clean, safe condition

About You

  • Must have Level 4 Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • At least 5+ years FMCG experience

  • Good understanding of engineering drawings and documentation

  • Good fitting and welding and machining skills

  • Excellent fault finding skills

  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy
