A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanic to work for a leading contractor based in their south Auckland workshop. We are looking for someone who has the skills and experience behind them to hit the ground running.
This role is workshop based and required you to have experience on a range of heavy diesel agricultural & earth works equipment as well as automotive.
The ideal candidate:
Trade Qualified mechanic (or time served - bonus points if you have Diesel Experience)
5 - 10 years experience
Full license preferably Class 2
Knowledge of diagnostics, auto electric's and hydraulics is an advantage
Can comply with and understands the critical nature of Health and Safety laws and policies
Can manage work given to them by their manager and be relied upon to get it done and in an acceptable time
Has initiative and can see what makes things tick and therefore know how to fix things that don't tick right
Is flexible and reliable with strong problem-solving abilities
Understands the importance of teamwork and is not afraid to muck in and help the team achieve
Strong communicator with a great sense of humour
Understands and can demonstrate attention to detail
