Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the purpose of this role is to assist with the implementation of a range capital project upgrades as well as supporting business process improvement, analysis, design and optimisation.Along with a Project focus you will undertake scheduled preventative maintenance activities within a large scale industrial plant. This is a great opportunity for a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer with a number of years postgraduate site or project-based exposure within a heavy industrial manufacturing facility to continue to develop their experience.

You will work across the full project life cycle within an operational 24 / 7 plant from the preparation of drawings to evaluating specifications and tenders, to project planning, scheduling and commissioning. Your proven relationship building skills will be complemented by well developed, interpersonal and influencing abilities.

You will be:

  • BEng Mechanical or similar technical background and solid experience in

  • Experience with plant design and operations including proficiency with Auto CAD

  • Safety conscious and aware of safety critical elements of industrial, heavy industry and large manufacturing plant and familiar with effective procedures and regulatory requirements

  • Developed communication skills and ability to schedule work programmes effectively

  • Knowledge of instrumentation and controls, pumps, valves and manufacturing principles within a 24 / 7 operation

  • Prior experience within a Major Hazard Facilities environment preferred

  • In-country or with current unrestricted work rights and imminent arrival. Due to current border restrictions this is essential
