Our client is an established name in the industry with a reputation for innovation, reliability and providing expertise and trusted advice in fieldsmart technology. This technology that keeps operations in the field running covers everything from high voltage power distribution, to water revenue metering, system control and data acquisition They have built lasting relationships by providing technical and service support to clients in the energy utilities, water & local authorities and industrial environments and is now looking for a dedicated Operations Manager to join their high performing company.

This is a new role in the company for the Meter Reading Services department and as the Operations Manager you will lead and co-ordinate the day-to-day operations of the Meter Reading Services division ensuring that growth, operational & financial targets are met. You will be responsible for leading and supporting a national team that is made up of 3 Team Leaders based in Auckland, Wellington & Christchurch who each have operational teams & meter readers reporting into them. As part of your role you will be growing and identifying new business opportunities whilst staying close to current clients and building great lasting relationships with them.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A min 5 years experience - understanding of the Electricity retailers within NZ will be a bonus

  • Business Management (or similar) qualification

  • Understanding of managing field services staff

  • Experience managing a national team & managing their KPIs & day-to-day operations (or ready for the step up into management)

  • Experience in budget & project management

  • Innovative thinker for business and process improvement

  • Ability to build lasting customer relationships, meet customer requirements and meet deadlines

  • Have a high standard of accuracy, attention to detail and presentation
