RobLawMax is partnered with a reputable mining house who have a significant portfolio of tailings projects ahead of them. Due to this investment, there is a requirement for a Project Engineer to join their team on a long-term contract basis.Further, they have major expansion and underground projects planned for later in the year that this position can transition to. There’s an exceptional team culture, long-term stability and flexibility woven into this position, often rare in a project’s environment.
This position is diverse in the nature it provides, covering bulk earthworks, detailed earthworks, concrete structures, minor electrical and instrumentation, and a unique ability to get involved in heavy mine-specific drill & blast activities.Beyond some of this initial scope, there’s some exciting $100mill multi-disciplinary packages that his position could lead into.Initially, you’ll oversee the scope during construction keeping tight controls on QA, budget, schedule and safety, while interfacing with Supervisors and the contractor.
To be considered for this Project Engineer position you must possess:
Bachelor qualifications in Civil Engineering
Previous exposure to working on major civil projects, ideally with exposure to mining industry packages
Previous experience involved in construction of major earthworks packages
Demonstratable exposure to project planning, sub-contract management and QA Management
