An outstanding Project Engineer opportunity has been created within a well-regarded mid-tier civil contractor in SE Qld. Reporting to some of the best Project Manager’s, you will oversee the delivery of various land development projects within their client suite across South Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan and the Gold Coast regions. You will join a business unit that has achieved outstanding growth over the last 3 years – primarily driven by the consistent delivery of quality project outcomes for some of the region’s most proactive developers.
You will manage a team of Site and QA Engineers and work alongside a Site Manager / Superintendent, and will be responsible for achieving strong commercial outcomes on your projects. This will include:
Programming of works to ensure contractual obligations are met
Cost management, forecasting and reporting to ensure strong financial returns
Contract management including negotiation of claims / variations
Maintenance of strong client relationships
Completion and submission of client and internal reports
Mentoring and leading your engineering team to assist them achieve their progression goals
To be considered for this Project Engineer position you will ideally possess:
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)
At least 3 years in a Project Engineer role on land development projects within a construction contracting environment
Excellent programming skills with the ability to foresee potential bottlenecks
Strong commercial skills with the ability to negotiate in a professional manner that ensures retention of client relationships
Enthusiasm and a desire to continue your career progression
