RobLawMax is proud to partner with McCosker Contracting to identify Project Engineer's for recently awarded earthworks contracts.

Reporting to the Project Manager, or via a Senior Project Engineer, these position will be responsible for successfully completing the contract works in line with the project schedule and client requirements. The goal is to maintain a high level of quality, safety and environmental standards and specifications, maximise margin, and achieve client satisfaction.

These position's will:

  • Co-ordinate and manage engineering activity to ensure projects are implemented in line with plans, designs, and specifications

  • Continuously build and foster working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Daily interaction with key stakeholders to interpret needs and requirements for effective representation in the field

  • Ensure ongoing compliance to Safety and Environmental requirements and Quality Assurance, including applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards and specifications

  • Efficiently develop and implement relevant project processes, procedures and documentation

  • Monitor project expenditure, budget management and reporting, including management of variations and claims

  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with the project leadership team to provide assistance and technical support

  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions

  • Assign responsibilities and mentor site engineering team

To be successful you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or similar

  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in similar design and construction projects

  • Experience in development and compliance of QA / QC processes

  • Experience in contributing to successful project execution with commercial acumen

  • Expertise in communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with scheduling and quality control software is preferred

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office

  • General Construction Induction (Blue / White Card)

  • Current Queensland Open Drivers Licence
