Delivering a major commercial construction project in Wellington, our client are looking to employ a Project Manager who is capable of excelling in both project and site based project management duties.If you have all round project management skills and can demonstrate experience working on complex building projects for a Main Contractor this position may suit you.
Ideal candidates will have a relevant trade or tertiary qualification in a construction discipline and be capable of working on early stage pre-construction duties, working closely to manage efficient dialogue between the Client, Architect, Consultants and Subcontractors in project set up, programming and during site delivery phase.
Responsibilities will include:
Leading the project delivery team
Ensuring your project is delivered to the required Health & Safety standards
Collaborating with project partners to ensure all adopt and maintain a 'project first' approach
Utilising your expert construction knowledge to anticipate and solve problems
Overseeing a large vertical construction site
Managing risk at all times
Commercial / Financial management
This position requires someone with a proven background in New Zealand who can demonstrate previous success as a Main Contractor Project Manager. If you are a natural communicator with the ability to lead from the front and inspire those around you don't delay in applying.
