One of the NZ’s leading construction contractors is in need of a highly motivated and switched-on Project Manager to assist in the delivery of medium to large scale commercial projects in Auckland up to the value of $20m. Salary is $110-130k depending on experience. A vehicle is provided.
Applicants are expected to have a minimum of 6 years experience in commercial builds for a contractor and have a dynamic, intelligent and eager attitude. With a strong forward workload, this is the ideal time to join a company with an excellent reputation and strong team culture.
You will have site managers and contract administrators reporting to you and you in turn will report to the Construction Director on a regular basis. You will be the co-ordinator who makes sure projects are going according to plan and if they are not, identifying issues and resolving them with maximum efficiency and minimum project impact.
This role is ideally suited to a Project Manager who is keen to progress their career in a well established company. Applications are sought from candidates who can demonstrate highly effective organisational and communication skills and previous career experience in the commercial construction sector.
Candidates must have:
Proven ability in construction as a PM with a contractor, commercial build or fit-out
Switched-on, intelligent and eager attitude, keen to progress their career
At least 6 years experience in construction is required
Ability to manage communication and project documentation
Ability to read plans and specifications
Experience in programming work
A strong health and safety focus at all times
A tertiary qualification and / or a trades background
