Our client is a global success story and a market leader in the field of electrical engineering and automation. They manufacture and distribute products, providing technical solutions for all aspects of electrical engineering and automation across the world. The New Zealand team is growing and now requires a new sales co-ordinator / customer services administration to join their fantastic team in Penrose.

This is a busy and challenging role that will see you supporting a high performing sales team and liaising with internal and external stakeholders across the business. Your key clients are electrical wholesalers across the country, as well as electrical & automation engineering firms. You will ensure that the sales process is followed, and the customers receive excellent service and you will be a trusted go to person within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining customer relationships – answering and acting on calls from our key customer accounts

  • Preparing quotes and processing customer orders

  • Ordering goods as required by customers and following up back orders

  • Product research and communication with suppliers

  • Assist sales engineers where needed

  • General administration duties / reporting functions

  • Exceptional customer service

To be successful in this role you will have the following attributes and experience:

  • Ability to pick things up quickly and a can-do attitude

  • Top notch time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks

  • Ability to think on your feet and be one step ahead

  • Strong customer service background dealing with both internal and external customers

  • Have a good technical aptitude and an understanding of parts and components

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Order processing experience

  • A great sense of humour - your client base is funny!

  • Experience with SAP would be a real bonus
