RobLawMax is representing a well-regarded, long-standing civil construction contractor who has enjoyed a number of recent contract awards throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory. These contracts, combined with exciting upcoming prospects in the mining, energy and water infrastructure sectors sees them requiring an additional Senior Project Engineer within their team.
You will be responsible for all cost control, scheduling, contract administration, progress / production reporting and client documentation for a $100m+ mining infrastructure project. You will report to the Project Manager and gain Project Management experience in an acting capacity while they are on R&R.
Within this Senior Project Engineer position, you will utilise your ability to:
Develop and enhance construction methodologies (bulk earthworks) that optimise plant & labour, and exceed production targets
Manage cost and maintain robust forecasts and cost to complete, as well as utilise your scheduling skills to track production rates and forecast potential bottlenecks
Integrate and motivate engineering and construction personnel to achieve project goals
Develop strong working relationships with client counterparts and subcontractors
Understand contracts with the ability to meet compliance and reporting obligations
Recognise work outside of scope and ensure it is claimed, combined with the ability to prepare and negotiate claims for delays, EOT etc
Exceed client documentation expectations and set benchmark for HSE compliance
In return for your skills you will receive a base salary of between $160-180k pa + super + 20% uplift.
