RobLawMax is working with a well-regarded construction contractor who require the services of a Senior Project Engineer to assist in the delivery of a complex infrastructure project in Central Queensland. Reporting to the Area Manager (Structures) you will manage a team of 5 engineer’s and interface with a similar sized earthworks team. You will join a complex and challenging project within a company who enjoys outstanding staff retention.
Responsibilities:
Manage work and performance of teams and subcontractors to achieve outcomes
Lead and motivate your team to exceed targets and objectives
Monitor and report on project construction delivery costs
Lead and develop construction methods, staging plans and programs
Ensure that the master project program is maintained up to date on a rolling monthly basis and accurately reflects the as-built dates for the activities, delay events and any resequencing of activities
Monitor and report on Safety, Environmental and Quality (and other) management systems
Prepare, manage and track budgets and financial reports
To be considered for this Senior Project Engineer position you will ideally possess:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
At least 7 years of experience in a hard dollar contracting environment
Structures experience essential
Previous experience within an Alliance of JV environment would be beneficial
Good planning & scheduling skills
Strong commercial and contractual acumen
Ability to motivate and manage subcontractors
Well-developed reporting skills
Ability to foster strong relationships with alliance stakeholders
