My client are an innovative manufacturer of customised automated machinery to the Australasian Frame and Truss industry. Founded by a passionate Automation Engineer, this family owned business has a successful track record of developing high performing industrial automation projects to the Prefabricated Timber market. Reporting to a knowledgeable, practical Service and Support Manager you will provide with structured training and development both on site and from the international Head office subject to travel allowances. A salary of $75 to $85 K is on offer along with a range of generous allowances, structured training and development with Total Remuneration in the $100 k range.

The Opportunity:

With an established and growing client base internationally across both private and corporate Sawmills and Production facilities, this is a great role for an ambitious, mechanically minded engineer keen to utilise their expertise in industrial automation. You will enjoy varied work undertaking new installations, typically on a bi-monthly basis, periodic planned maintenance as well as remote fault finding and diagnostics where possible.

Priding yourself on a customer centric approach you strive to deliver advanced service and support, adding value to clients and providing a positive experience and strengthening client relationships. In addition the ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics ideal) or Trade base with Industrial Automation experience

  • Machine assembly experience, comfortable working on site with varied power tools

  • PLC Systems experience, able to fault find and read electrical schematics

  • Experience servicing Automated machinery

  • An understanding of programming logic, with rounded software skills desirable

  • Understanding of H&S requirements within industrial manufacturing environments

  • Full Clean Drivers Licence and your own fully maintained vehicle (Generous travel allowance provided)

  • ·Willingness and enjoyment of travel
