If you're a Piling & Foundations expert this is the career growth opportunity you've been looking for using leading edge techniques & technology
Whilst piling and foundations will always be big chunky concrete structures underground, how they are built is undergoing continual development with new techniques & technologies coming on stream at a faster and faster rate.
At the bottom of the world, New Zealand is not always at the forefront but if your employer is one of the biggest construction companies in the world who has massive R&D spend and is across the geotechnical construction industry worldwide, you’re going to be on the first projects in NZ to deploy these methods & machinery.
To be successful in this role you will need to be an experienced Site Supervisor of large scale piling, and preferably also diaphragm wall and ground improvement works. You will have strong leadership attributes, be highly organised and a great planner and organiser of multiple activities on site and potentially on several sites simultaneously with teams of up to 10.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager you will be in-charge, driving quality in all areas of operation including executing the construction program, contributing to writing of method statements, organising the site for maximum productivity, managing health & safety, completing all documentation – site diaries machine & personnel time-sheets, client relations, setting standards, and ensuring compliance in all aspects of on-site personnel activities, plant operation and plant conditions.
You will need to be able to go where the work is and whilst your home base would probably be Auckland, you may be deployed to projects anywhere in the North Island so you must be able to cope with working away from home sometimes.
An attractive package will be negotiated in the range of $100k - $120k with either a Vehicle or Vehicle allowance depending on your preference.
