A working Civil Foreman role combining operating work with job and people management, current tickets and New Zealand working rights essential.
A privately owned Wellington based Civil Contractor are now recruiting for a Foreman to join their team delivering civil projects around the Wellington region, this role requires a candidate who has a proven background working as a Civil Operator before progressing into a Foreman role. In this role you will perform a combination of both operating and Foreman duties assisting the Civil Supervisor to ensure jobs are managed safely and effectively.
Key skills and experience required:
- New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
- Class 2 licence with WTR endorsements
- Competent operating Roller, Loader, Excavator, Bulldozer or Grader.
- Ability to follow procedures and adopt safe working practices
- Ability to read plans
- Ability to follow plans and daily work programmes
- Effective communication skills
- Good work ethic
- Computer skills with ability to write basic reports
Projects will include drainage, drilling, excavation, hard standing, driveways and general civil projects.
