How to Enter

Due to complex nature of their role, it is recommended to complete a Bachelor of Engineering or similar degree to secure a job as a Fire Engineer. When recruiting for senior-level Fire Engineers, many New Zealand employers prefer candidates with a Master of Engineering in Fire Engineering.

  • Designing and implementing solutions to reduce the risk of fire to buildings
  • Conducting onsite inspections
  • Studying the causes of fires
  • Advising on how to improve fire safety

50K – 110K per annum (NZD)
