How to Enter

To secure a role as a Network Analyst for Power, Energy & Mining businesses here in New Zealand, it’s recommended that you gain a bachelor’s degree in a relatable field, such as Electrical Engineering. On top of that, some roles may require several years of previous industry experience from working in a similar role.

 

Typical Responsibilities

The typical responsibilities of a Network Analyst can include some or all of the following:

  • Evaluating complex energy networking systems
  • Providing documentation
  • Tracking project development for network installations
  • Providing tactical and strategy input on networking systems
  • Training junior Network Analysts

 

Progression

Given enough time and experience, a Network Analyst can progress up their careers forward and become more senior. Alternatively, Analysts can also work towards becoming Network Managers and steadily move into other areas of Operational Management.

 

Salary Range

65K – 90K per annum (NZD)
