How to Enter
To secure a role as a Network Analyst for Power, Energy & Mining businesses here in New Zealand, it’s recommended that you gain a bachelor’s degree in a relatable field, such as Electrical Engineering. On top of that, some roles may require several years of previous industry experience from working in a similar role.
The typical responsibilities of a Network Analyst can include some or all of the following:
- Evaluating complex energy networking systems
- Providing documentation
- Tracking project development for network installations
- Providing tactical and strategy input on networking systems
- Training junior Network Analysts
Given enough time and experience, a Network Analyst can progress up their careers forward and become more senior. Alternatively, Analysts can also work towards becoming Network Managers and steadily move into other areas of Operational Management.
