About the role:Our client requires a Quantity Surveyor to cost projects in the Auckland region. We are looking for someone with QS expertise, coupled with an interest and enthusiasm for project delivery and client engagement. In this role, you will be also responsible for providing great service to clients, managing the requests and works and leading a small team of staff and subcontractors to resolve the issues.As most projects are negotiated, the usual adversarial conflict between all parties is not there so the role is more around front-end estimating and pricing with a view to managing contractual relationships in a positive way.About you:At least 5 years’ experience in a similar roleExcellent knowledge of construction materials and contractual obligationsExperience reviewing tender documents, drawings, and quantity take-offsPreparing and analysing costings for tenderExcellent relationship management and communication skillsTertiary qualification in quantity surveying or similarAbout the company:Our client is a super exciting new construction company whose founders have won the Supreme Award in New Zealand construction for previous projects.
