In this role, you'll be responsible for operating spray bars attached to bitumen distribution trucks to apply precise layers of bitumen during chip sealing operations. You'll work alongside a dedicated crew to deliver high-quality results, helping create safe and reliable road surfaces for motorists across the region.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operating bitumen sprayers and other machinery across upcoming Kapiti projects
- Completing pre-start checks, heating, blending, storage, and monitoring production
- Delivering surfacing work to the highest industry standards
- Assisting with maintenance, quality checks, and supporting crew development
- Working closely with site teams to deliver projects on time and safely
What We’re Looking For:
- A Class 4 licence with WTR and D endorsements (class 5 an advantage)
- Proven experience in bitumen spraying and machinery operations
- Good knowledge of bitumen processes, safety, and equipment care
- Reliability, flexibility, and commitment to quality workmanship
- A positive team player who thrives in a busy civil environment
