- $26-$38 per hour (based on experience)
- Full-time, ongoing work with steady hours
- Travel between branches required
Key Responsibilities:
- Process steel scrap efficiently, including gas cutting, to meet customer specifications
- Maintain and safely store gas-cutting equipment daily
- Monitor gas supply and arrange reorders through the Steel Yard Supervisor
- Keep accurate records of product weights and recovered non-ferrous materials
- Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy work area at all times
- Report maintenance or safety issues promptly to the Steel Yard Supervisor
- Actively participate in toolbox and team meetings
- Support other areas of the yard as needed to ensure smooth operations
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years’ gas-cutting experience
- Flexibility to travel between branches as required
- Proven industry experience and a strong health & safety focus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliability, honesty, and a willingness to help colleagues get the job done
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Clean criminal record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Relevant licences/certifications for the role
