The Position
Reporting to the H&S Manager, this hands-on role offers a mix of site-based and office-based responsibilities, starting most days with a toolbox talk followed by proactive safety activities across diverse project sites. Office duties will be based at the Rosedale office.
You’ll work closely with field staff and colleagues, implementing safety policies, delivering key documentation, facilitating training, and driving improvements in health and safety practices throughout our dynamic operation.
Skills and Experience Required
· Civil Contractor Health and Safety Advisor experience gained in New Zealand
· Health and Safety qualification
· Strong communicator at all levels, with an emphasis on engagement with field teams
· High interpersonal skills and ability to foster productive relationships
· Computer literacy; solid skills in Word and Excel, and SiteDocs knowledge beneficial
· Proven track record of making a difference in health, safety, or staff well-being
· Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks in a busy, varied environment
· Ability to call it as it is”, make things happen, and fit a performance-driven, positive team culture
· Good character, reliable, and brings a sense of humour to work
