We’re looking for reliable, hard-working people to join our team in Seaview, Lower Hutt. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be working with different types of metals, operating machinery, and helping to keep the yard running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operating machinery such as cable granulators, cable strippers, balers, and alligator shears
• Sorting, grading, and processing metal ready for export
• Carrying out general yard duties and manual handling
• Performing pre-start checks and basic maintenance on machinery
• Following all Health & Safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area
• Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in a relevant industry
• Forklift certificate preferred (not essential)
• Full, clean driver’s licence
• Able to pass a Ministry of Justice check
• Drug and alcohol-free (pre-employment and random testing apply)
• Legally entitled to work in New Zealand
