We are partnering with a high-profile national organisation responsible for delivering some of New Zealand’s most significant infrastructure programmes. They are seeking a senior Regional Manager, based in either Waikato or Bay of Plenty, to provide governance, leadership and influence across a complex, multi-billion-dollar portfolio of projects.
This is a senior, high-profile role where your ability to engage, govern and influence is far more important than direct line management.
The Opportunity
In this role you will:

Provide regional leadership and governance across large-scale infrastructure programmes.

Act as a champion for your region, ensuring local priorities and aspirations are reflected in national outcomes.

Sponsor and govern major projects, ensuring robust risk management, alignment to strategy, and accountable delivery.

Engage and influence diverse stakeholders – iwi, local and central government, contractors, industry, and community groups.

Build trust and credibility through strong relationships and authentic leadership.
About You
We are seeking a senior leader who brings:

The mana and credibility to influence at the highest levels.

Governance experience across major programmes or projects.

Proven stakeholder engagement skills, ideally working with iwi, local or central government, and complex industry partners.

The ability to translate complex technical or infrastructure issues into clear, outcomes-focused messages.

A senior-level background in transport, energy, oil & gas, utilities, major project delivery, or regional development.
