Our Client, a global leader in renewable energy, is transitioning from Oracle to SAP and requires an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to ensure the new system is fully compliant with New Zealand legal and reporting requirements.
This contract role (6–9 months) offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal part in a major ERP transformation project, ensuring SAP is configured, tested, and supported to meet statutory obligations in New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities

Guide and test the setup of SAP FICO for New Zealand compliance (system is already US GAAP ready).

Ensure statutory reporting and compliance with NZ regulations, including:

GST / VAT calculation and reporting

Withholding Tax (WHT)
-
Asset management
-
Bank reconciliation
-
Payment processes and methods
-

Support data migration (master data and open balances).

Prepare NZ-specific business user documentation.
-
Deliver training and user support before and after go-live.

Collaborate across NZ and International time zones with both internal and external stakeholders.
About You
We are seeking a consultant who brings:

Proven SAP FICO expertise, with hands-on configuration and advisory experience.

Strong understanding of New Zealand accounting, tax, and reporting requirements.

Experience supporting finance system migrations or implementations (Oracle → SAP an advantage).

Ability to work closely with finance teams to ensure system outputs meet compliance and business needs.

Excellent communication skills to deliver documentation, guidance, and user training.

SAP S/4HANA experience preferred, though not mandatory.
