The Position
This leadership role supervises a skilled sheet metal fabrication team, oversees daily workshop operations, ensures production quality, interfaces with clients, and helps win new work by quoting and design input. The supervisor allocates resources, mentors staff, liaises with project managers, monitors workshop performance, and drives new fabrication techniques for industry advancement.
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a sheet metal workshop supervisor or team leader in engineering or manufacturing.
- Trade qualification in sheet metal fabrication or engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge, ability to read engineering drawings, operate CNC press brake/guilotine, and control quality.
- Proficiency or familiarity with SolidWorks, dust extraction systems, and project management.
- Track record of motivating teams and excellent client/stakeholder communication skills.
