Typical Responsibilities
- Operating and maintaining, small-to-large manufacturing machinery
- Placing production materials in manufacturing machinery
- Improving manufacturing machinery and processes
- Ensuring manufacturing production is running to schedule
- Ensuring all regulatory and Health & Safety standards are adhered to
- Training and managing new Engineers
Progression
Most Production Engineers can develop their careers by moving into other specialist areas of Engineering, such as Mechanical, Maintenance, or Automation, or head into a Sales-based role. Alternatively, Engineers who find passion in leading others can progress onwards to management and work their way towards becoming Production or Manufacturing Manager.
