As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects while ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead teams, liaise with stakeholders, and oversee all aspects of project delivery, from resource management to compliance with safety and building regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project costs and ensure financial efficiency while maintaining quality.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to New Zealand’s health, safety, and building regulations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure work meets industry standards, project specifications, and client expectations.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on project status, challenges, and solutions to senior management and stakeholders.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education: A degree or diploma in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably in commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.

Project Management Skills: Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and contract management.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with construction methodologies, materials, and compliance standards in New Zealand.

Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Software Proficiency: Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore) is a plus.

Health & Safety Certification: Knowledge of New Zealand's health and safety regulations (e.g., Site Safe Certification) is desirable.
