As a Machine Operator, you’ll play a key part in delivering large-scale civil projects at various sites across the Wellington region. From operating machinery on roading, trenching, and drainage work to supporting the wider crew on-site, no two days will be the same. What you’ll be doing:
- Operating a range of heavy machinery on civil sites (excavators, loaders, rollers, etc.)
- Supporting projects such as roading, drainage, trenching, and site development
- Carrying out daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Working closely with site crews to ensure projects run smoothly and safely
- Following all health and safety procedures in busy environments

What we’re looking for:
- WTR endorsements with Class 2–5 licence
- Proven machine operating experience (multi-skilled or specialised)
- ConstructSafe or Site Safe certification
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Good mechanical awareness and care for equipment
- Clear communication skills and reliability
