We are looking for pick packers/labourers in a range of capacities for our clients busy Petone yard, with roles suitable for entry-level people. This is a great opportunity to learn something new and to enjoy consistent working hours.
There will be an opportunity to gain experience in other areas of the operation as well, including gaining further licenses and training, as well as the chance to go permanent with the client.
What the role involves:
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and containers
- Classify material and distribute into correct containers
- Weighing and recording material from trucks
- Deal with suppliers and their agents when unloading trucks
- Keep the work area clean and tidy
- Comply with all safe working procedures
- Other general duties in all areas of the yard as required
Skills and personal requirements:
- Full class 1 license required
- Physically fit - some bulk lifting involved
- Reliable and have a good work ethic- take pride in your work
- Be a team player
- Flexibillty and vertsatiliy
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Clean criminal record
