A highly successful Auckland based residential design and build company has a vacancy for an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis for 6 months, fixed term.
They require someone to have strong technical experience and building knowledge, gained in NZ on residential projects. It is desirable that the successful candidate has come up from a trades background into site management and subsequently project management.
This role would be a good fit for a candidate who has extensive experience of working on medium density residential housing projects, who is also capable of managing standalone housing projects as required.
Excellent communication skills, man management and the ability to prioritise are essential in order to be successful in this position.
Applicants must possess the following skills:
* 6+ years experience on residential construction projects
* Strong technical knowledge in house building project management
* Experience in running multiple projects concurrently, managing sub-contractors and jobs
* Strong understanding of building codes, compliance and drawings
* Proven ability in managing projects to deliver on time and to high quality levels
* Ability to manage communication and project documentation
* Strong personality - equipped to confidently represent your employer across multiple construction projects
* You will be the eyes and ears of your employer on site so your technical knowledge regarding residential construction will be tested
