DERRICK VIVAS

As a Senior Consultant at RobLawMax, he works closely with civil and commercial contractors across Auckland, Waikato and the Bay of Plenty. Derrick recruits a wide range of construction roles including labourers, carpenters, heavy machine operators and working foremen, supporting projects across both building and civil sectors.

Originally from the Philippines, Derrick moved to New Zealand in 1999 and later graduated from AUT University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences. He began his career in social services and healthcare recruitment before joining RobLawMax in 2016.

Derrick is well connected within the industry as a member of Civil Contractors New Zealand (CCNZ).

Outside of work, Derrick trains in boxing and other combat sports and participated in the Hirepool Clash of Construction charity fight in 2025, raising funds for Mates in Construction. He also enjoys hiking and photography walks with his wife and is actively involved in his church community.
