Thomas Patrick (Pat) Quin

Storyteller, visionary leader, global traveller, and the driving force behind today’s RobLawMax Recruitment.

1952 - 2025

In 2008, Pat led Max Recruitment’s acquisition of Rob Law Consulting Group, transforming it into RobLawMax. Under his leadership, the business grew from a single office to six across Australia and New Zealand, plus a presence in the UK. Pat drove ISO accreditation, pioneered safety initiatives, and championed modern apprenticeships and training programs that challenged the status quo of the on-hire industry.

Pat was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law. He loved the long-held family home in Plimmerton with its stunning sea views and believed that family should always be at the heart of life’s achievements.

He was a proud rugby man, coaching, supporting, and sponsoring Hutt Old Boys Marist and Paremata Plimmerton Clubs, and even contributing to New Zealand Rugby Sevens. Rugby, for Pat, was about more than sport, it was about community, teamwork, and giving back.

Hugely admired and respected by staff past and present, Pat set high standards for both business and life, inspiring those around him to do the same.

Pat believed that if he could get just one person off the street and into work, he could set a family on a path to financial freedom. That philosophy shaped everything he did and continues to guide RobLawMax today.

Cheers Pat - your vision, passion, love of family, and dedication to people will never be forgotten.
