SAM PHILLIPS

With over 26 years in recruitment, Sam has built extensive connections across the commercial construction, interior fit-out, civil contracting, residential and engineering sectors. He recruits across a wide range of roles including Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, Project Managers, Site Managers, Site Supervisors, Building Services, Health and Safety, Operations, Sales and Facilities positions.

Sam has become a trusted industry advisor in the construction sector, regularly providing commentary on the construction market to both employers and candidates.

Originally from the UK, Sam graduated from Queen Mary University in London in 1998. He began his recruitment career in London specialising in IT placements for investment banks before moving into construction recruitment in 2007, working on infrastructure projects across the UK and EMEA regions. He relocated to New Zealand permanently in 2012.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys running, swimming, cycling, yoga, paddle boarding and skiing. He also produces a movie podcast and creates electronic music in his home studio.
