We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our established mining operation in regional New South Wales.
This is an excellent opportunity to build a stable career in a well-supported environment, working on essential heavy mobile equipment.
As part of a skilled maintenance team, you’ll contribute directly to equipment reliability and mine productivity — all while enjoying the benefit of being home every night.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of heavy mobile equipment.
  • Specialise in underground mining fleets and auxiliary equipment in both underground and workshop environments
  • Carry out advanced electrical troubleshooting, fault finding, and diagnostic scanning to minimise downtime.
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical systems and respond to breakdowns as needed.
  • Install, commission, and maintain vehicle control systems, communication gear, and air conditioning systems.
  • Work safely and ensure all tasks align with site safety and environmental standards.
  • Work closely with supervisors, planners, and fellow trades to support efficient operations.
To Be Successful, You Will Have:
  • A recognised trade qualification – Automotive Electrician (Cert III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent).
  • Proven experience working within underground mining environments or on underground mobile plant equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability across major underground fleets, including Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT, Volvo, and Normet.
  • Solid understanding of low-voltage electrical systems, CAN-bus networks, and auto-air conditioning.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with site procedures.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
What’s on Offer
  • Competitive hourly rates and excellent earning potential
  • Genuine long-term career stability with opportunities for professional development
  • Permanent full-time residential role — home every night on a 7/7 roster
  • Well-equipped workshop and support from experienced supervisors
  • Work with a respected, stable mining company committed to growth and safety
