Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of heavy mobile equipment.
- Specialise in underground mining fleets and auxiliary equipment in both underground and workshop environments
- Carry out advanced electrical troubleshooting, fault finding, and diagnostic scanning to minimise downtime.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical systems and respond to breakdowns as needed.
- Install, commission, and maintain vehicle control systems, communication gear, and air conditioning systems.
- Work safely and ensure all tasks align with site safety and environmental standards.
- Work closely with supervisors, planners, and fellow trades to support efficient operations.
- A recognised trade qualification – Automotive Electrician (Cert III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent).
- Proven experience working within underground mining environments or on underground mobile plant equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability across major underground fleets, including Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT, Volvo, and Normet.
- Solid understanding of low-voltage electrical systems, CAN-bus networks, and auto-air conditioning.
- Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with site procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
