Building Services Manager Contract position (Fixed-Term to March 2027)
The Company

With a focus on quality, innovation and collaboration, they are seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to join the team and play a key role in the successful delivery of a major Auckland project.
The Position
Reporting to senior management, you will take ownership of all building services throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-construction and value engineering through to commissioning and handover. You will coordinate and manage services including mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, fire protection, communications, access control, lifts and BMS systems.
Working closely with subcontractors, consultants and the wider project team, you will lead services coordination, manage technical submissions and shop drawings, oversee commissioning activities, and ensure programme, quality and safety objectives are achieved. This role will be instrumental in identifying risks, resolving complex installation challenges and driving seamless project delivery through to completion.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in a Building Services Manager, Services Coordinator or similar MEP-focused role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic building services systems.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, consultants and project stakeholders on large-scale construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage programmes, procurement schedules and commissioning plans.
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to identify and resolve services-related construction challenges.
- Experience overseeing QA processes, technical submissions, shop drawings and project documentation.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant construction or building services qualification preferred.
- New Zealand work rights required.
